As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of existence is to
kindle a light in the darkness of being. - Carl Jung

About Meredith

Meredith's passion for practicing and teaching Yoga was ignited in 1999 upon taking her first "real" yoga class where she felt the powerful merging of her Mind and Soul into her Body.

"Up to this point, I had considered the development of spiritual and mental aspects of my being of greater importance than that of my body. Yoga revealed the em'body'ment of spirituality in a whole new light. Journeying into a much heightened state of awareness while being very physically engaged, my body and breath became the vehicle through which more subtle aspects of my Higher Self could be explored. Through this awareness, I witnessed all aspects of my life manifesting in microcosmic form right there on my mat ~ the stresses, tensions, opinions, and stories that were going on in my head. But this time I was instructed to observe with appreciation and without judgment or attachment. This new perspective empowered, healed, and restored me. This was creation, meditation in action. It was fun, beautiful, peaceful, grounding and very Real!"

"The practice of Yoga illuminates our inner wisdom and restores the Divine balance between our Mind, Spirit, and Body. Deep, conscious breathing affords internal cleansing and self healing. As the body becomes purified, we begin to access and experience who we truly are. Yoga helps us focus and calm our cluttered minds from habitual and often negative thought patterns. We, then, become free to soar beyond the intellectual and theoretical into the bliss of Pure Being-ness where we are naturally, joyfully, peacefully, gracefully involved in the dance of Life."

Meredith heard the call to teach and help individuals awaken to their inner wholeness. She has been committed ever since to daily study, practice, sharing, and living the principles of Yoga. Her compassionate, honest teaching style supports her students in cultivating awareness and connection to their inner wisdom ~ the ultimate teacher and healer. Meredith intelligently guides and nurtures her students to express patience and surrender as they move towards deeper integration of breath, strength, fluidity, alignment, and concentration.

Her background includes a variety of Yoga styles including Hatha, Iyengar, and Ashtanga which is her primary focus and practice. The many influences in Meredith's training enhance her ability to assist and educate students at all levels. To her teachers who continue to share their knowledge, Meredith bows in deepest gratitude!
